Today in Culture Class, Mr Tangye showed us how to make shelters from natural products in our own school environment. We were able to make our own shelters from sticks, paper bark and lomandra. Mr Tangye explained to us the difference between a summer shelter and a winter shelter. In groups, we built a small version of what we thought the shelter would look like. One group even added a front door to their shelter using a bundle of soft leaves. Thank you Mr Tangye, we always learn so much during our lessons with you!
Your shelters look wonderful 5P! My class enjoyed this activity too!
2/3A found it a bit tricky to tie the lomandra around the sticks to hold the shelter together! Was this a challenge for 5P too?
